Hotel banquet hall movable partitions aren’t just for decoration. Get one detail wrong, and you’ll end up with poor soundproofing, sticky tracks, and constant maintenance complaints later on.

Based on the factory’s experience completing thousands of hotel projects, there are 3 must-check requirements. Missing any of them makes the project prone to problems.

✅1. Choose ceiling-mounted tracks; don’t use floor tracks in banquet halls
Floor tracks are cheap upfront but cause endless headaches later: carpets bulge, service carts don’t roll smoothly, debris gets stuck in the tracks, guests can trip, and cleaning becomes a nightmare.
For new or renovated banquet halls, ceiling tracks without floor tracks are industry standard. Just make sure the ceiling can bear the weight—this setup is much more durable and user-friendly.

✅2. Don’t trust verbal claims about soundproofing; match the STC level to the actual use
Sales often claim "super soundproof," but don’t be fooled by marketing talk. Noise in banquet halls comes from voices, cutlery, and stage sound systems, so choose STC according to the hall size:
‑ Small private rooms: STC 35
‑ Regular wedding/multi-function halls: STC 40-45 (supports multiple events at once, most practical)
‑ Large performance/conference venues: STC 45+

Soundproofing depends on rock wool filling, sealing strips around edges, panel joint structures, and also on the ceiling, lighting, and floors—all need soundproofing materials. You can’t rely on the partitions alone.

✅3. Choosing the right wall panel model —65mm partitions aren't suitable for high-traffic banquet halls - 65mm series: lightweight, only suitable for offices. Thin frames can wobble after frequent sliding, not ideal for busy banquet halls. - 85mm partition series: the main choice for most hotel banquet halls. Sturdy structure, good sound insulation, lots of finishing options, and cost-effective. - 100mm partition series: perfect for heights over 9 meters, heavy-duty panels, ideal for large (500㎡+) and frequently used high-end banquet halls.

Practical tips:
‑ Panels must interlock with tongue-and-groove joints; flat joints leak sound badly.
‑ Banquet halls should install a door-in-door system for easier staff access.
‑ Finishes must meet local public area fire codes.
‑ Check real completed hotel cases, not just showroom samples.
