Height changes everything
Sports halls are taller than offices. Once clear height goes past 8 meters, light partition systems stop being a good idea. Stability, track capacity, and acoustic seals all need to be designed for that scale.
For these projects we typically specify our 100 series: 100mm panel thickness, height capability up to around 12 meters, and sound insulation up to about 55dB in standard configurations. Ultra-high or special layouts can be customized, but the base requirement is simple — the wall has to feel solid when a match or event is running next door.

Sound targets that are realistic
People often ask for "complete silence." In a stadium shell, that is rarely honest. What you usually need is enough reduction so announcements, music, or crowd noise on one side do not ruin the activity on the other.
In practice, a well-installed acoustic operable wall in the 50–55dB range is what most commercial venues are aiming for. The install quality matters as much as the brochure number: panel joints, pass doors, and perimeter seals decide the real result.

Operations matter as much as acoustics
Ask who will open and close the wall. If staff need to reconfigure the hall weekly, the system should move smoothly on the overhead track and park cleanly. Semi-automatic or full-automatic options exist for larger banquet and conference venues; for many sports halls, a robust manual 100 series with clear operating training is enough.Also plan the stacking area early. A tall wall needs a proper parking bay. If the architect leaves this out, everyone fights the layout later.

Send approximate hall dimensions, clear height, whether events will run simultaneously, and any drawings you already have. We will tell you if 85 series is still possible or if 100 series is the safer call.
